When I was hired at netlogx I was not sure what to expect. I had been a receptionist before but it has been a while and was not quite the same as an Assistant to the office.

I have found that there are many duties to this job. I usually start my day off by making sure that the lights are on in the office and then I go to the kitchen and empty the dishwasher from the night before. I know that some of my duties may not seem that important, but I have realized that even the smallest of duties help to make a great company and that it takes a group of dedicated people to make that happen.

I have only been here since June and I have learned so much in just a short time!

There are many of things to do like checking e-mails, answering the phone, filing, scanning, getting the packages & mail, ordering the kitchen and office supplies every week to restock and not to run out of paper for copiers, helping the Operations Team with anything that comes up and filing for them. I am always willing to help whomever needs anything done, or getting something ordered – team members just need to let me know.

I have been brought up to date on some of the technology that most team members just do as a routine everyday but for me it was not my daily routine. While I have been here I have become more confident in Word, Excel and Power Point.

I got the chance recently to help with the shipping and organizing of the transportation and booking restaurants for the MESC. It was sometimes a little challenging but it was a great experience to see how it all comes together and works.

I am currently being shown how to work on Quick Books.

I have learned something new every day that I’ve been here, just like this, writing my first blog! Every day is a new day and has a new challenge and that is what makes it a joy to come to work.

I am grateful for this opportunity to be a part of a team as wonderful as netlogx.
