On Tuesday, January 14, 2014 – the netlogx Team showed up in full support of Mayor Ballard’s 13th Annual Celebration of Diversity Awards Luncheon that took place at the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis.

The goal of this event is to highlight six Indianapolis businesses and organizations that encourage, embrace and celebrate differences that foster a culture of diversity and inclusiveness.

For me, one of the most moving recognitions went to the Indianapolis Ten Point Coalition (ITPC).  I watched as a large group of African-American men walked up to the stage with a gentle humility.  This group of inner-city clergy along with many volunteers formed a coalition to fight violent crime in the City.  Since its inception over 20 years ago, they have significantly reduced crime in violent areas of the city through positive intervention and a peaceful presence.

In receiving, these men seemed almost uncomfortable with the recognition. It is evident that they see their work as something to give – not to receive anything in return. Here is their website:  http://indytenpoint.com/

I was so proud to have “team netlogx” filling a whole table with our green shirts to support recognizing great people and organizations.  I believe our company holds the same values of selfless giving and humble recognition for the great work we do for clients and nonprofit organizations.

I feel grateful to be part of such an amazing group of dedicated people who support not only each other, but our clients and community!
