You may have heard that netlogx was recently named one of the best places to work in Indiana in 2016, but if you haven’t, check out this link
This became even more apparent after a recent luncheon. I was lucky enough to be invited to a NAWBO-Indianapolis (National Association of Women Business Owners) event [http://www.nawboindy.org/]. The lunch was delicious and the attendees were impressive. It was one of those places where the talent pervaded the room and became even more apparent with every individual you spoke with. In attendance as the guest of honor was Elizabeth Kraft Taylor, a former Vice President for the Simon Property Group.
Not only does our CEO, Audrey Taylor, serve on the board of directors, but netlogx also supports NAWBO-Indianapolis as a silver level corporate partner. This is important, because it’s easy to take for granted the social liberties we have in the United States today. Ms. Elizabeth Taylor pointed out just how recent women have made an appearance in the business world – and that becoming an executive for such a large company was something nobody would have imagined possible for a woman when she was growing up.
To say I was out of my comfort zone is an understatement, but that’s when you see things through a new perspective most clearly. It dawned on me that supporting a cause or caring about more than the bottom line isn’t something we need to do as an organization, but I’m so thankful we do. So when you’re looking for the next group to work with or even for, take into consideration all the little things that matter.
