What brings you joy?
Helping other people. Just knowing that I am able and have the capability to help someone else that brings me joy.
What are most afraid of?
Snakes – they scare me! Other than that, I don’t think that there is anything else that scares me or is intimidating to me.
What would you like to learn?
If I could everything! I would really like to learn just generally in life. I would really like to learn how to better myself every day. How to gain knowledge and wisdom – not just intellect and just reading books. I would like to read about history some day when I have time – like the Utopian Empire or biographies of important people and the work they have done.
Who or what inspires you?
I take my inspiration from everywhere around me and a lot of people both in work and in life. Even an ordinary person that I am riding with on a subway train can give me inspiration from the strength that they have and the happiness that they have even if they do not have a lot of things in life or accomplishments to share. How they wake up each morning and move on and get on with their day, I take my inspiration from the things around me like that.
If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?
I would tell myself to take risks, don’t be afraid to fail, keep going and fall forward don’t fall backwards.
What is your favorite book or movie and why?
That is a difficult one. I like Pride and Prejudice (the book). I liked it because of Elizabeth Bennet’s character and how it was portrayed and I do take inspiration from that character, too, because she is such a strong character and she continues to grow and learn. I like how she composes herself in situations and can still be human, still makes human errors but she is growing, even in that historical era with all of the stereotypes and cultural biases she stands her ground so I like that book.
What have you or would you write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?
I have written I want to visit Iceland, to help other people and learn and grow professionally and personally.
What does Cloud Computing mean to you?
Cloud computing means the future to me. It means convenience – sometimes I have been in situations where I did not have access to a laptop but I could access email but I was still able to respond in a timely manner via Gmail which is cloud-based and perform my tasks. It means convenience, productivity and increased opportunities.
