Interview with Tom Taylor, netlogx Intern

What brings you joy?

Dinosaurs bring me joy. I also enjoy saying “good morning” to everyone in the office.

What are you most afraid of?

I am most afraid of whales because they are huge. They can weigh as much as 15 school buses and they don’t really have teeth. You have to know your enemy to beat your enemy. The ocean is also scary.

What would you like to learn?

I would like to learn how to play the keytar.

Who or what inspires you?

My friends and loved ones. I like to surround myself with people who are always trying new things and doing cool things. They inspire me to try different activities.

If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?

I would tell him to do what he likes doing, not what he thinks he needs to like doing. I would also tell him to get over himself.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?

My favorite movie is Scott Pilgrim versus the World because it’s dorky, but well made. The editing and special effects in the movie is beyond it’s time. I love the aesthetic of the movie, too.

What have you, or would you, write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?

I have written, 2 years ago, “the world’s worst best man’s speech” because one of my roommates had just got engaged. The very first thing I wrote was “find something to write on this board”. Today, I would write “make a documentary with my friends” because I would love to do that project.

What does Project Management mean to you?

Project Management is understanding how to tackle something step by step and how to handle issues as they arise during a project.
