Interview with Axel Santana, netlogx Intern

Axel Santana

What brings you joy?

Helping people brings me joy. Just making sure I am a kind to everyone, if it’s someone in need or not.

Personally, I enjoy spending time with my family and girlfriend. I am extremely close with them.

What are you most afraid of?

I am afraid of heights and spiders.

What would you like to learn?

Professionally, I would like to learn the right tools to be successful. Not necessarily what is taught in school, but for my success. I would also like to learn the price that goes along with it all.

Personally, I would like learn to another language. I would choose Portuguese, this way I would be tri-lingual.

Who or what inspires you?

My dad inspires me because since I was a child, I have been able to see how hard he has worked for my brother’s and my lives to not only survive but be successful and full.

Jesus Christ also inspires me because he is my example to follow every day. He makes me want to be a better person and always treat others well.

If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?

I would tell him that you did a good job. Staying away from the wrong people was a smart decision, even though it was lonely. You are on the right path.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?

My favorite book is Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki and Sharon Lechter. This is my favorite book because this book talks about the reality of staying stagnant in one’s career but working overtime to obtain extra money just to spend instead of saving and investing. The motto of the book would be make money work for you, not work for the money.

My favorite movie is Hunger Games because even though it is a fictional movie, it relates back to the real world. Every person represents a personality that can relate back to a team member in your company. Like the Hunger Games characters, someone is always prepared, whereas others are not.

What have you, or would you, write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?

I would write “go to Spain” because I have a good friend from there who raves about how marvelous Spain is and it is a part of my culture.

What does Process Management mean to you?

A developed plan where different ideas and processes are implemented to fulfill the goal of the project. In other words, process management is a step by step structure where different decisions are made based on the current data and structure of the project to manage everything effectively.

What does wellness at netlogx mean to you?

Besides daily tasks and projects, netlogx makes sure everyone is healthy and fit. Wellness at netlogx influences a lot of team members’ performance during the week.
