Interview with Alec Mitchell

What brings you joy?

I enjoy singing, on a daily basis. It’s my “me time” and mind filler when I’m doing tasks around the house or driving.  Also, going to the movie theater by myself has been a guilty pleasure recently.

What are you most afraid of?

I am most afraid of letting those around me down. I tend to be the “yes man” when my family or friends rely on me.

What would you like to learn?

I would like to learn to be more internally decisive and be able to push it externally. I would also like to learn to fight for what I want over something I think needs to be done.

Who or what inspires you?

My sister inspires me. Over the past few years, she has grown up from the little sister who I didn’t always get along with, to someone I go to for advice. She has shown me that anything is possible if you set your mind to it, including change.

If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?

I would tell my teenage self to let the little things go and not to stress over them because they can wear you down.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?

I love all the Marvel and DC movies. I’ve actually become quite a geek over the years, even though I was never a comic book person growing up.

What have you, or would you, write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?
Before I Die I want to cage dive with sharks. It’s been a fear of mine, but I enjoy pushing my boundaries.

What does Process Management (BPR) mean to you?

Process Management is honing in on what you’re doing, allowing you to get a better view of the good and the bad so that you can make the necessary changes that will lead to sustained growth.

What does wellness at netlogx mean to you?

Being happy, which is facilitated by netlogx’ work culture and allowing you to be yourself with everyone.  That is important when you spend 40 plus hours a week with the people you work with.

What is a fun fact about you?

I am a dog whisperer.

What is the most exciting thing you’ve ever done or place you’ve ever been?

The craziest thing that I’ve been a part of was being in the delivery room for  my niece’s birth – woah!
