About the time that I started at netlogx, my son asked if a friend could stay the night.  Of course, I had no problem with it.  It was a friend, that was staying one (1) night…or so I thought.  One (1) night turned into many and I asked when this friend was leaving.

At the time, he was living locally with his grandparents, and the generation gap was causing issues at home.  We had some discussions and decided that, if his grandparents agreed, he could stay with us (basically adopting him).

Fast forward to 2017, Luis moved out and left our little family to make his way to Nevada. He decided on Nevada so he could spend time with the brothers and sisters that he had never known growing up.  Initially he moved in with his Aunt and sister, and then met the love of his life!

Fast forward to 2019…IT’S A BOY!  My adopted child gave me the best gift ever!  We call him Lil’ Luis. He was born on February 6th, weighed in at 8 lbs 14oz, was 20.5 inches long, and has a head full of hair.

In March, Chad and I took a trip out to Nevada to meet the bundle of joy!  He is so precious (aren’t they all when all they do is eat and sleep).  There is nothing better than a baby to make all the stress seem to disappear!  The baby smell, the snuggles, the kisses…the time.  The time to take it all in and just enjoy the innocence a new life has to offer.

During our visit, we took a trip into Vegas.  As you can see, I am still employed… so no luck there!  No worries, we invested in a “time-share” type deal, so I will have plenty of opportunities to hit big.

Going out to Vegas wasn’t necessarily on my bucket list…but having a grandbaby was!
