We’re hiring Security Consultants who will be responsible for providing professional information technology security consultative services to our clients. These services may be project based or advisory in nature. You will ensure appropriate scope of services, deliverable quality and timeliness, and present a keen understanding of information technology-related security issues, technologies, and resolutions.


  • Provide IT security consultative services to clients under the direction of the Division Director or assigned Project Manager
  • Maintain currency in IT security-related issues, technologies, and resolutions
  • Perform IT security assessments, including controls testing, following netlogx’s methodology based on:
    • NIST SP 800-53 and NIST SP 800-30 and related NIST guidance and standards
    • HIPAA Security Standards
    • Other industry standards as applicable to the engagement
  • Perform vulnerability scanning and penetration testing over IT infrastructure and applications
  • Develop project deliverables: assessment reports, testing reports, recommendations and solutions, and project-specific deliverables
  • Assist Division Director as needed with:
    • Methodology development and refinement (continuous improvement)
    • Documentation repository structure and security
    • Internal security policies and procedures development and refinement
    • Internal security training programs
  • Reports the progress as well as the problems to management stakeholders
  • Ability to travel between 30% and 50%
  • Other related duties as assigned

netlogx will provide, as required, training and tools to the team member to be able to productively perform on projects


  • Six-plus years of Information Technology Security Analyst/Security Manager/Security Consultant for a large complex organization or security services firm
  • Demonstrated experience performing in-depth IT security assessments
  • Demonstrated experience performing vulnerability scans and penetration tests using standard tools (e.g., Nessus, Rapid/7)
  • Demonstrated experience developing security-related reports, documentation, procedures
  • Understanding and experience with IT security tools such as SIEM, IPS/IDS, endpoint, secure mail/messaging, and encryption
  • Understanding and experience with one or more nationally recognized security guidelines and standards such as NIST, FISMA, ITIL, or COBIT
  • Understanding of and experience with HIPAA Security Standards highly preferred
  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, or HCISSP certification highly preferred
  • State government and/or health care industry experience preferred
  • Alternative experience credentials may include:
    • Five to 10 years system administrator experience (Windows, Unix, Linux) with security related responsibilities
    • Five to 10 years network administrator experience with security related responsibilities
  • Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Informatics, or related field; may be waived for substantive experience in the field
