Cyber-Security Regulations and Techniques Lagging Behind the Changes in Technology in Healthcare
With HIPAA and HITECH, the healthcare industry has some of the toughest privacy and security regulations, but they are about to be severely tested by the changes in Information Technology.
The rapid adoption of Cloud services, the increased use of personal computing devices in the work environment (BYOD), and the demise of the PC in favour of tablets and smartphones all threaten to push regulations and security measures to the breaking point.
Nick Taylor will explore some of the likely consequences of these changes, as well as positing potential remedies and coping strategies.
