What brings you joy?

Being able to spend time with my husband, family, and friends. I am grateful to have a close-knit family with my immediate family and in-laws, and I cherish the time we spend together watching OSU football games, traveling, or cooking together.

What would you like to learn?

My parents grew up speaking Arabic and French, but during my childhood, we were only permitted to speak Arabic, and I never got an opportunity to learn the language. I would like to travel back to French-speaking countries such as France, Morocco, Belgium, and Montreal to immerse myself in the language and culture.

Who or what inspires you?

My parents inspire me because they came to the United States to fulfill the American dream. I would not be the person I am today without the sacrifices they had to make for my siblings and me. Every day I aim to embody their positive spirit, resilience, and aspirations to dream big and keep pushing forward despite whatever obstacles I face.

What is your proudest work moment at netlogx?

My proudest work moment was receiving positive feedback from a client about my meeting notes. This was an insecurity I had because the material was new, and I was learning to take notes in a different environment, but receiving that compliment allowed me to have more confidence in myself.

If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?

You will worry less about what people think of you when you realize how seldom they do.

What is your favorite book or movie, and why?

A Bear Called Paddington by Michael Bond is my favorite book because it brings up a lot of old memories of my childhood. I spent a lot of time reading, and it helped me adapt to the American culture and learn the language. I remember this book being the first book I read cover to cover without any issues, and understood every single word. I cannot remember the number of marmalade sandwiches I asked my mom to make while I read this book because I wanted to be immersed in Paddington’s life.

What would you write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?

On the netlogx Before I Die wall, I would like to spend some time in Europe, whether that be two weeks or two years. I would like the opportunity to live abroad and experience different cultures, taste different cuisines and spend time outside the United States.

What does Performance Management mean to you?

To me, Performance Management means that an organization has taken the time to develop a measuring and reporting process to improve overall performance within the organization in order to sustain a high-performance culture. As an employee, an increased review process leads to increased work satisfaction because it reduces the anxiety of the ‘unknown’ if you know you are meeting benchmarks and the organization’s overall goals. Secondly, it acts as a catalyst for further growth within the organization when your strengths are recognized, and consistent feedback is given for areas that need growth. It is an opportunity to continually develop employees to build up their strengths and use prior assessments as personal KPIs to self-assess and build upon what is learned.

What does wellness at netlogx mean to you?

Wellness at netlogx means having initiatives that are well-rounded and meet the needs of different wellness goals (e.g., financial, mental, physical, emotional). netlogx allows employees to utilize the benefits given to us to meet their goals rather than hitting 10k steps a day, meditating for 10 minutes in the morning, or hitting a savings goal. There is no one-size fits all approach, and we all inspire each other. For example, I was influenced by one of our employees to purchase a walking pad with our reimbursement of wellness dollars to get extra steps during the day. Since I am new to the midwest, I experienced my first winter last year and could not go on my daily outdoor walks, this walking pad allows me to hit my step goal and work at the same time.

How would you describe netlogx’ culture?

netlogx is a diverse team of staff that come from different backgrounds, which contributes to our unique consulting approach. Because we are a small team that spans across the United States, there are committed incentives to boost communication, show gratitude and constantly develop the team. At the core, netlogx‘ core values highlight empathy, collaboration, and continually developing employees to assist organizations in solving complex business challenges.

What is a fun fact about you? Or the most exciting thing you’ve ever done or place you’ve ever been?

The most exciting place I have ever been was spontaneous. During my last trip to Europe, we had an issue with our flight and had a 26-hour layover in Istanbul, Turkey. It was the best layover I have ever experienced because we were able to leave the airport, explore nearby markets and taste the cuisine.
