What brings you joy?
I would say I love to walk outside in springtime or fall – when there is low humidity and low temperatures. It’s very therapeutic for me to walk with a friend or alone. Traveling also brings me joy – experiencing new places! Also watching my kids who are now active in sports.
What would you like to learn?
I would like to learn more about how our bodies metabolize food, I’ve been reading about body re-composition and researching this – it’s fascinating!
Who or what inspires you?
I would say my late, best friend from college, she had Stage 4 cancer but had an incredibly positive attitude. She was convinced she would beat it and worked hard to overcome it, even to the end.
What is your proudest work moment at netlogx?
With the help of Carolyn McClain, at the start of the INvest project, the client wanted to use Confluence. I researched it, and through trial and error and tag teaming, we worked through it. We transferred documents from Share Point to Confluence, I put a mini project plan together and helped to teach the client as I was learning it myself, and we completed it all before the deadline!
If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?
I would say to take a deep breath and know that it will all work out, and not to stress over the little things.
What is your favorite book or movie and why?
My favorite movie – every Christmas Eve my husband and I watch The Holiday which is very inspirational in many ways, the impact that people have on you without even realizing it.
What would you write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?
There’s so much I want to do, I think it would be so cool to visit every continent.
What does Change Management mean to you?
Change Management to me is the process of helping others plan and adapt to upcoming changes and the process that goes into that, to prepare and implement and then ongoing – evaluate what’s changing, what’s working and not working – it’s a cycle.
What does wellness at netlogx mean to you?
Wellness at netlogx to me, I think of it as your holistic well-being, similar to change management it’s ongoing – what goals do you have overall, creating a plan, following the plan, assessing and evaluating to be your best self.
How would you describe netlogx’ culture?
netlogx’ culture is wonderful, it’s very team oriented – great servant leadership like we’re all in one line moving together – everyone helps each other out. It’s very empowering and supportive in a way that helps individuals to meet their goals and be successful. Relaxed and lighthearted, we work very hard and get things done, but we have so much fun at work it doesn’t always feel like we’re working – clients have commented on this too.
What is a fun fact about you? Or the most exciting thing you’ve ever done or place you’ve ever been?
I did a Superman zip line in Costa Rica, hiked a volcano, and rock climbed to tide pools.
