What brings you joy?
I would say participating and seeing my nieces grow up and seeing them becoming the beautiful young ladies they are, as well as their kindness and compassion.
What would you like to learn?
I would like to learn more about world history and American history and visit historical locations – on a walk I leave no plaque unread!
Who or what inspires you?
I would say I’m a huge music fan, Brandy Carlile who produces albums of lesser-known or fading country stars inspires me – elevating powerful female performers at the sunset of their careers. Also, musicians like Dolly Parton who do so much for charity and give back to the community.
What is your proudest moment at netlogx?
I think I would have to say watching Jaelin Roseman presenting the onboarding blackboard to the project leadership team. It started as a great idea, and she saw it through to execution at the end of her first year of employment. I have proud moments all the time working with Matt Boldt – watching him present and facilitate in front of leadership and having a small part of their development makes me proud. When we negotiated a more lucrative four-year contract that was a proud moment too.
If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?
Being a gay teenager in the 80s was not always easy and seeing how far society has come, I would say it gets better!
What is your favorite book or movie and why?
My favorite movie is Tomatoes; it was one of the first representations on a film of a female couple.
What does Cyber Security mean to you?
Cyber Security means having awareness and scrutinizing emails and text messages that seem random, having a heightened sense of awareness.
What does wellness at netlogx mean to you?
Wellness at netlogx to me means for instance that I’m standing on my treadmill now and doing a meeting! It means using the wellness reimbursement dollars however you need them. This is the job where I’ve had the most work-life balance ever in my career.
How would you describe netlogx’ culture?
netlogx’ culture to me is inclusive, supportive, and respectful and they take team member appreciation seriously and definitely walk the talk!
What is a fun fact about you? Or the most exciting thing you’ve ever done or place you’ve ever been?
A fun fact is that as Willa Cather fans, we went to her home in Red Cloud Nebraska, actually stayed in her family’s second home, and had the whole house to ourselves. We did a three-hour prairie tour and saw the places that inspired scenes from her novels, it was brilliant!
