Regulations, Design, Testing…Oh my! Design and development work on large-scale government projects can be harrowing for the faint of heart. The project Business Analyst (BA) generally performs tasks to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements.  Traditionally, the BA is the conduit between the project Subject Matter Experts and the IT staff. Recently, while checking my LinkedIn account, one of the featured articles caught my eye. The article was titled “How to Give Yourself a Promotion at Work” and was accompanied somewhat illogically by a photo of a teenage boy triumphantly holding a box of snacks and screaming his head off. We often hear how important team work is to athletic organizations.  However, I believe team work is essential in nearly every group endeavor that can be conceived.  But, why?  The driving force of a productive and successful group is embracing a particular belief, goal or ideal that is greater than any of one individual or [...]

A fellow netlogx team member, Sara Jordan, and I recently attended the 8th Annual Relationships to Partnerships Sessions at Purdue University on November 16, 2012.  Purdue presented the conference in partnership with the  Supplier Diversity Development Coalition of Greater Lafayette to increase opportunities available to minority and women business enterprises (MWBE’s) to meet buyers and [...]
