What brings you joy?
I find joy in moments of peace and relaxation. I love nothing more than sitting in the afternoon sun, listening to a good record on vinyl with my cat, Boomer, purring in my lap while I paint. Simple, quiet moments like these make me happy.
What would you like to learn?
I am very enthusiastic about learning, so my list of things to learn is quite long. I’d like to learn how to play the banjo, how to code in Python, how to speak Irish Gaelic, how to master vintage hairstyles, how to sew with a sewing machine…the list goes on and on.
Who or what inspires you?
I am inspired by the women of Iran who are bravely fighting for gender equality and freedom.
What is your proudest work moment at netlogx?
Probably when I completed my Six Sigma certification.
If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?
Take chances, make mistakes, get messy! It all comes out in the wash. You’re in for a wild ride, so hydrate and take a few naps while you still have the time.
What is your favorite book or movie and why?
My favorite movie is Giant – it is based on the novel by Edna Ferber. It is a gorgeous, dynamic piece of cinema that truly withstands the test of time.
What would you write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?
Before I die, I want to set foot on every continent.
What does Cybersecurity mean to you?
Cybersecurity is being proactive in the protection of sensitive or confidential data. Cybersecurity is used to keep important and confidential data secure from unauthorized access in order to ensure that confidentiality and data integrity is maintained.
What does wellness at netlogx mean to you?
Wellness at netlogx means having a team motivating and supporting you to reach your health goals 24/7/365. Because of our team at netlogx, not to mention the wellness benefits that netlogx provides to its employees, I have been incredibly successful in meeting my health goals.
How would you describe netlogx’ culture?
The culture at netlogx allows for employees to have flexibility and freedom in so many ways, particularly in regard to personal and professional growth. In the past year that I’ve been a part of the netlogx team, I have had the opportunity to obtain two (2) different certifications as well as invaluable project experience, which has been not only fulfilling, but affirming of my skillset and capabilities.
What is a fun fact about you? Or the most exciting thing you’ve ever done or place you’ve ever been?
I have had the opportunity to extemporaneously sing with two different (and completely random) bands while out and about in Houston. I also have eaten ants (on purpose).
