Celebration recognizes intern and intern supervisor for contributions to internship excellence

(INDIANAPOLIS, Feb. 25, 2022) netlogx, a women-led management consulting services firm that helps clients navigate and manage change, announced that Abbey Szentes and Hali Lucas were honored during Work and Learn Indiana’s 16th Annual IMPACT Awards which was held virtually on Tuesday, Feb. 22, 2022. The celebration of internship excellence recognized Szentes as a nominee in the category of Intern Supervisor of the Year and Lucas as a nominee in the category of Intern of the Year.

A statewide event recognizing internship excellence, the IMPACT Awards celebrates accomplishments among interns, employers, and career development professionals. Winners were selected by a group of impartial judges from nominations submitted by the public.

“We’re honored to have Abbey and Hali recognized for their hard work and contributions to netlogx’ internship program,” said Vicki Chabot, chief human resources officer for netlogx. “We are passionate about developing and retaining talent and these nominations illustrate the benefits of creating a conducive environment for students and young professionals to gain valuable work-based learning experiences.”

An integral part of the netlogx’ culture, the intern development program prepares young professionals for real-world working experiences. As intern supervisor, Szentes was able to overcome the challenges of 2021 and through her efforts, enabled netlogx to offer a completely virtual internship program. In addition, she implemented a variety of additional initiatives to provide netlogx interns the level of support needed in a fully remote environment.

The IMPACT Awards celebration also recognized Lucas for the positive attitude and thoroughness with which she approached her internship at netlogx. Her willingness to take on new projects and approach challenges head-on helped strengthen the teams she worked on. She was proactive in finding solutions to potential issues and her inquisitive nature meant she was never afraid to speak up and make recommendations.
