Interview with Rick Koen, Senior Consultant

What brings you joy?

My family, and playing music.

What are you most afraid of?

Having another heart attack!

What would you like to learn?

I would love to get more in-depth knowledge on the Core Values Index (CVI) and learn all about that, I’m fascinated by it!

Who or what inspires you?

This may sound like a corny answer but Jesus and my faith. Down times in my life have always resulted in something better coming along around the corner and my faith gets me through whenever I’m having a down time.

If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?

Don’t sweat the small stuff and when properly evaluated everything can be viewed as small stuff.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?

Tombstone because of mix of drama and humor and more or less the good guys ultimately triumphing.

What have you, or would you, write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?

I would say that I get to hold a great granddaughter.

What does healthcare mean to you?

I guess right now it means security – knowing the issues my family have had it has helped and protected us. A little scary that nobody knows where it is heading.
