My family, especially my kids and grandkids bring me joy.

Who or what inspires you?

My son, and especially my daughter-in-law, for the constant care they provide my special needs granddaughter.  There is continual monitoring, administering of medications and addressing pumps and alarms throughout the day and night.  This is done with love and joy, and even managing to throw in adventures that any 6 year old would love.

If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?

I would tell my teenage self to not be too set on the plans I make, because they’ll change. Also, I would say that no matter the bad times and good times, life is good.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?

Knight and Day is my favorite movie because it’s not based in reality. I love the escape from reality.

What does Process Management (BPR) and Mitigating Risk & Strategies mean to you?

Process Management and Mitigating Risk means process reengineering and change management. When you reengineer a process, you are making a process efficient, effective and consistent.  Consistency in a process will mitigate risks by addressing the points most at risk during process reengineering.  Process reengineering addresses the inefficiencies in processes, and therefore, changing them can save time and money, and increase customer’s satisfaction. Employee satisfaction is also increased as frustrations around ineffective and inconsistent processes decrease.

What does wellness at netlogx mean to you?

It means that netlogx cares about their employees and about the wellbeing of their employees.  netlogx supporting having a healthy lifestyle. It can be difficult in consulting positions to stay on a healthy routine of diet and exercise, due to the inconsistencies of travel. Being a part of an organization that supports wellness is great.

I love to draw and paint and renovate homes. The miter saw is one of my favorite tools.

What is the most exciting thing you’ve ever done or place you’ve ever been?

We used to have sailboat and would island hop around Lake Michigan. With limited time, we would never let storms get in our way and occasionally took on 6-8 foot waves.  Once I had to call an SOS after 2 others on board ended up in the water during rough seas.  All were safely rescued.
