What brings you joy?

The ability to eat dinner with my entire family, including all six of my kids, brings me joy. I also appreciate quiet, quality time with my wife one-on-one as well.

What are you most afraid of?

I am not afraid of tangible items, but more of letting people down or not doing my best. Disappointing people is what I am most afraid of.

What would you like to learn?

I would like to learn to play the ukulele. I am actually taking classes with my wife to learn how to play the instrument. I would also like to earn better ways to improve athletic performance, for example nasal breathing when running helps. There has also been a drawing class, offered in the Stutz that I have always been interested in.

Who or what inspires you?

The theme that inspire me the most are stories of hard-work and perseverance. Seeing people make the best of their situation and overcoming hardships inspire me. David Goggins is someone specific who comes to mind. David overcame his childhood, became a navy seal and now participates in ultra-marathons. Also, stories of survival from WWII and Nazi concentration camps where individuals come out and still have a great, positive attitude on life inspire me.

If you could talk to your teenage self, what would you say?

I would tell my teenage self to take more risks. I was a little hesitant to take risks that could have possibly given me more opportunities.

What is your favorite book or movie and why?

The most recent book I read was On the Shortness of Life. It gives an interesting perspective of how you use your time. It’s inspired me to try not to waste time.

My favorite movies tie back to what inspires me, so Brave Heart and the Rocky movies move me, but I like to watch Forest Gump for a good laugh.

What have you, or would you, write on the netlogx Before I Die wall?

On the netlogx Before I Die wall, I would write to have a cabin on a lake.

What does wellness at netlogx mean to you?

At netlogx, wellness is not just everyone going for a jog. For me, it’s the supportive environment that has provided me with freedom and independence to do my job how I see fit. Even if my plan doesn’t work out, netlogx is there to support and help guide me to get back on track.

Mental wellness at netlogx is also important compared to what I’ve experience at other companies. People are grateful for what I do and are always looking for ways to help.
