The last three and a half years have been nothing short of empowering for me.

Back in 2018, when I was looking to secure an internship, my mom recommended looking into netlogx. As a current employee, she knew that netlogx’ intern development program was not only award-winning, but would also be a great cultural fit. As much as it pains me to write this – sometimes moms do know the best. And wow, am I glad I listened.

My summer internship hit the ground running from day one. Not only did netlogx make sure I was doing meaningful work, but it was meaningful work that fit my major – Human Resource Management. From researching and recommending a new Learning Management System (LMS) to even being the intern supervisor for our high school intern, the autonomy I was given is second-to-none.

What is ironic now in this pandemic world is that my supervisor, Vicki Chabot, resides in Spain. I had a remote team before it was cool!

This work setup allowed me to extend my internship into my junior year at Indiana University, and I remotely worked in Bloomington, Indiana. After this extension, I was asked to stay on for a month in the summer before studying abroad in London. Upon returning, I extended my internship once again during my senior year. With each extension, I knew more and more that I wanted to work full-time at netlogx. Graciously, netlogx offered me a full-time role, which I have been in for the past year and a half.

Again, my expectations for this role have been surpassed. The most impactful part of my entire journey at netlogx is that no matter my title, I am treated with the utmost respect. The trust extended to me is unbelievable as well. Current responsibilities of my job include serving as the LMS Administrator and Project Manager, Intern Supervisor, and Resource Co-Manager, as well as developing and implementing HR strategies and guiding team members through our employee life cycle.

As a young professional, Imposter Syndrome is constantly thrown around. My netlogx team members reaching out to request my input reaffirms the choice I made back in 2018.

netlogx has truly felt like home the past three and a half years. I am excited to continue to grow and develop in this environment. Thank you to everyone at the #netlogxTeam for welcoming me with open arms and continuing to make netlogx so special. And of course, a special shout-out to Elizabeth Szentes for the recommendation!
