On the evening of February 12th, I had the opportunity to attend my very first National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) event. While I was not very familiar with NAWBO and the organization’s mission, vision, and values, I was really excited to attend the event and have the opportunity to be in the same room with several empowering, smart, and kind women.

The event was great, as it was centered on new member orientation so perfect for me to get to know NAWBO a little bit better. Being around thoughtful and successful women can be very inspiring. I can already see how much of an impact this organization is capable of making not only in Indianapolis, but worldwide. NAWBO started in 1975, amongst about a dozen women in Washington D.C. and has been growing ever since. Today NAWBO consists of over ten million women-owned businesses across the country. The local Indianapolis chapter started in 1997 and has grown to be one of the largest chapters in the United States.   For more information, click here: http://www.nawboindy.org/

The amount of support, awareness, and mentorship this organization is willing to provide its members is outstanding. Being able to come together and help in the making of someone else’s success is always rewarding. I truly look forward to the relationships being made between NAWBO and netlogx.

netlogx CEO, Audrey Taylor, spoke to the guests about the possibility for great success to come from getting more involved with NAWBO and their events. She is living proof of that! NAWBO enables women to make connections that are meaningful and last forever. Making these connections benefits both parties and tend to happen when the decision is made to become “fully” involved.
