Technology is great! When it works, but it’s inevitable to have issues with technology at times. I’m sure you have experienced a strange sound coming from within the case, an important video conference scheduled but the audio doesn’t want to cooperate, your laptop freezing, trying to print a document and your laptop just won’t talk to the printer, the network running incredibly slow or maybe not at all and you just can’t figure out why? Well, it’s likely because you need a techie but that’s another story for another time. Imagine a world without technology. We use it in all aspects of life daily and can’t go without seeing some form of technology with every step we take.
National Technology Day was last Saturday January 6, which honors all the achievements technology has given us throughout time. One area of technology that continues to advance and grow are Apps (short for applications). Apps are more than just addicting games and photo editing. It has expanded into the business world; allowing easier access to pertinent information so individuals can work on the go or remotely with little to no effort.
If you haven’t already browsed around your app store on your device to see what programs you use regularly then I’ll make it easy for you. Here are a few apps you can have right at your fingertips:
- Google Calendar
- Google Drive
These trending apps will have you feeling advanced and may even earn you praise from a dedicated techie. Maybe not, but it sounded good and if not for the sake of seeming technology advanced do it for the sake of discovery and innovation.
National Technology Day is the ideal occasion to explore the stellar world of technology, and take a step forward in technological innovations in the world.
